These guys are in the neighborhood. There are local scams related to buying their fertilizer that costs thousands of dollars. Acknowledge their presence, don’t open the door and tell them no. Call TPD if they refuse to leave!

Neighbors. Door to door soliciting (without a permit) is illegal in Torrance. This guy was bouncing around through our neighborhood without any form of company ID. We all hate to burden our great police officers but a call to the non emergency line gives Torrance PD a chance to chat with this guy.

I’m going to call this a win! New signs, (including permit only) installed in the Gardens neighborhood. With that, be careful, the city hired an outside company to enforce parking regulations. Make sure to display your parking permit in your vehicle and follow the street sweeping regulations!

These are from the agenda for tonight’s meeting. The proposals are crazy, from making the permit area smaller to making Gardens residents pay for the costs associated with new signs and permits. 7pm tonight at the West Annex if you want your voice heard.

I finally got a chance to work on a few things related to the parking permit dissolution.

The city manager places items on the council agenda. I’m hoping we can all send him an email and find out when the council will hear it. You may want to ask why the city is trying to dissolve the permits. This will give us time to notify the 400+ parcels in the neighborhood and show up to the meeting. Please report back if you get a date or any info that you feel is relevant.

Because the full council will hear the parking permit issue, it’s important we reach out to all of them and express our desires. Our council member Asam has failed to reply to my email for over a month.

I’m looking for help making a flier and a few Facebook savvy people that want to help moderate this page.

Thank you to all the neighbors that showed up and voiced their concerns. Unfortunately the traffic commission was provided bad information by city staff about how their votes should be cast, kicking the can down the road to the City Council.
Going forward, we need to organize the 400 plus parcels in the Gardens Neighborhood. I will work on an informational flier to provide information to all of our neighbors.
We will need to convince a majority of the city council to keep the parking permits in place. More to come.
