Today, we’re proud to spotlight, Ryan Yung, a former Lancer golfer whose EWC experience was shaped by strong relationships, dedicated instructors, and a close-knit campus community.
Ryan attended Eastern Wyoming College from 2008–2010 and competed on the Lancer Golf Team.
When he looks back on his time at EWC, one thing stands out most:
“The welcoming environment and close-knit community that I felt while I attended school. I had outstanding teachers that truly cared about my success and got to know me as a person, not just a number or another student.”
He credits several EWC faculty and coaches with making a lasting impact, including Ellen Creagar, Melissa Meeboer, Rick Vonburg, and Coach Casey Jones.
“I can’t thank them enough for the time they spent with me to make sure I got through my studies and athletic career at EWC.”
Today, he is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, a career he has been in since 2018, right here in Torrington.
He and his wife, Samantha, have been married for 10 years and are raising their two children, Matilda and Henry. When they aren’t busy with their careers, you’ll likely find the family camping, golfing, traveling, or taking care of their ‘funny farm’ at their property.
From the Lancer Golf Team to building a career and family in the community, Ryan's story is a great reminder of the relationships and experiences that make EWC special.
