It doesn’t get much better than this!
I am so incredibly grateful that Beau is able to attend such an amazing school and has such an sweet teacher 💚
Everyone knows that the school district is one of the most important items when deciding on an area to call home. Sometimes we get so caught up in the school district we forgot to look into what’s available for the littlest kids. I sure did!
I did A LOT of research before choosing a preschool that fit my values and what I wanted for my son. The early years are SO important.
So important, that I drive, on average, 45 mins each way to school. It is 100% worth it to me but I know that not everyone is able to do that on a regular basis.
This is one of the main reasons I love being able to share my research to help my clients find what’s best for them at every stage of life.
You can’t put a price on having an agent that has been there and thought about the things you might have forgotten while caught up in the excitement of the home search.
Yesterday, a 5-year-old and a 6-year-old were collecting spring onions. They discussed how best to arrange their collection. Completely student-led with no input from an adult, they began by making ABA, AAB, and ABB patterns. For over an hour, the more they worked, the more intricate their patterns became (AABC, ABBC)!
During the same period of time, a small group of 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds experimented with speed, slopes, and gravity by setting up PVC pipes at various height levels and racing cars down the pipes.
Nearby, the mud kitchen was at full capacity, with lively talk about the weight and volume differences of dirt vs. mud as they were filling and emptying containers. With that information, they decided what size bowls to use for each material based on how easily they could carry it from the prep table to the serving table.
Children understand even complex concepts in a hands-on way without sit-down, paper-and-pencil lessons, or flashcards. We must retrain the way we adults think about the way children learn!
I see it in action every single day and it's wonderous to experience! It takes trust on the adult's part to see this "subtle" learning evolve in the mind and actions of a child!
