🌸 A Day in the Life of a REALTOR – Weekend Edition 🌸
(Also known as Freaky Friday through Sunday Scramble!)

Friday kicked off strong — or maybe just caffeinated! ☕️ First stop: Home Depot for mums and pumpkins 🎃 to get a listing’s porch photo-ready. Then off to meet a contractor about upcoming renovations (and to bribe him with donuts 🍩 from Fenwick Bakery… because everyone works better after a Boston cream, right?).

Swung by Hodges Glass & Screen shop with a broken sash 💥 (because apparently houses have bad days too). Fit in a quick gym visit 💪 and scheduled inspections for a new contract. Wrapped up the night with a fantastic wine dinner 🍷 with friends — balance, right?

Saturday was a blur of REALTOR reality: in the office at 7:30 a.m. to prep open house materials 🏡, dropping off brochures and floor plans, then heading downtown for the Down Syndrome Association of MD Annual Walk 💙💛 — a day full of love, laughter, and sunshine. Finished off with a stop at our favorite store (Costco, of course!) and dinner + Scrabble at home.

Sunday started early (thanks to our four-legged alarm clock 🐶 at 5:45 a.m.), got some work done, delivered the freshly repaired window, and then off to Columbia for a 4-hour home inspection marathon. But hey — perfect time to write thank-you notes ✍️ and catch up on emails.

Sunday Family dinner prep begins at 3:00 — because even REALTORS have to eat eventually! 🍽️

It’s all part of the glamorous, chaotic, donut-fueled life of a REALTOR! ❤️🏡

🏡 New Listing Madness
Listed a home at 8 AM Saturday, had 12 offers by Tuesday, and spent the weekend attached to a box of tissues and glued to my phone answering calls, texts, and emails. Under contract well above asking by Tuesday night! 🎉

🥖 Babysitting Gig?
Yes, I babysat… but not for a child. Nope—my daughter’s dough. Dough babysitting was not on my mom's job description, but hey, add it to the resume. 😂

Met with two senior couples to start their downsizing planning.

Closed on a sweet rancher in Bel Air on Friday.

Closed on a Mays Chapel condo Monday for another downsizing couple.

Finished (finally!) my September newsletter Friday evening.

Met photographers twice on Wednesday for Matterport & twilight photos of a gorgeous historic home that will be open this weekend.

Whew! 😅 Real estate isn’t just a job—it’s a full-contact sport mixed with a little comedy, some caffeine, and a whole lot of heart. Never enough hours in the day, but always grateful for the people and stories along the way. 💙

BARCS needs cardboard box flats for our shelter cats! “Beer trays,” “drink flats,” “box toppers” or whatever you call them—our shelter is completely out and needs more donated ASAP.

If your office, restaurant, local liquor store, or favorite brewery has some laying around, please bring them to BARCS. If your place of business is able to provide these flats weekly or monthly, please email us at [email protected].

Donations can be dropped off at our front doors under the overhang at 2490 Giles Road, Baltimore, MD 21225. Please note that our staff is unable to travel to pick up boxes.
