We're officially entering one of the prettiest stretches of fall in Monteagle & Sewanee. 🍂

There's still plenty of green, but more reds, oranges and yellows are popping up every day—and we're getting very close to the time of year when the color really takes over.

Sewanee Sunsets & Cabin Comfort – Sweet Stillness

"The place was cozy and beautiful! Loved the decor. Fireplace Jacuzzi and Sauna made it such a relaxing getaway. GPS took me to the wrong house and there’s not great cell service there. But if you’re driving at night it was lit up pretty well so it didn’t take too long to find. The town isn’t too far and their lots of nature trails and rich history in it. We toured the campus with its beautiful architecture and watched the sunset at the cross. It was amazing! Samantha was quick to respond whenever we needed help. Would definitely recommend a getaway here!" – Shannon R.

A Weekend Made for the View – In the Pines

"Had a great weekend visit and loved everything about the home and its location. It has a beautiful view and everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. We were close to several great hiking trails and also enjoyed walking the neighborhood. Owners were very responsive with questions I had. I would love to rent it again sometime." – Virginia B.

This roughly 2-mile round-trip hike starts near the University Gates and takes you through the wooded trails of the Domain before opening up to a beautiful view over Shakerag Hollow and Roark's Cove.

It's the kind of hike we love recommending when you want to get outside and experience Sewanee without committing your entire day to the trail.

And in the fall? Even better. ❤️

Pack some water, give yourself time to enjoy the view when you reach the point, and make it part of an afternoon exploring Sewanee.

Nature, Waterfalls & Warm Welcomes – Little Moments

"Samantha responded to our distress call when we were lost and late checking in. She helped us navigate to her home, which was a little bit tricky. The home was beautiful and very clean. My favorite parts of the home were the bathroom rain shower, the outdoor shower, hot tub, and the gorgeous fire pit. The large and mature trees were a beauty to see every morning. The trails and waterfalls in Sewanee were absolutely amazing. The town was cute and everyone was extremely friendly. Thank you for letting us stay in your home and the chance to explore!" – Julie S.
