Every fall and winter, the real estate market tends to change pace. Buyer activity can cool as the holidays approach, families settle into the school year, and fewer people want to make a move during the colder months.
That doesnโt mean the market is falling apart. It means seasonality matters.
Homes may take longer to sell, and sellers need to be more intentional about pricing, presentation, and strategy.
But thereโs another side to it. ๐
The buyers and investors who stay active during the slower months are often the ones who are serious about making a move. With fewer people competing, there may also be more opportunity to negotiate.
For sellers, the biggest mistake is waiting until the market shifts and then reacting. Prepare early, price for the market youโre entering, and have a strategy before you list.
