Meet Ron! I helped him sell his home so that he could move in with his grand kids. Believe it or not but this young man is turning 90 years old this Friday. Some of you may or may not know this, but my grandpa, who is incredibly important to me, is 91 years old. Since he's in Indiana we don't get to see each other too often.

Anytime I'd stop by to see Ron or call him we'd end up chatting for way too long. The silent generation is incredible to be around, the stories they tell feel like the version of America we hear about in story books. Not to mention, the ones that are still with us, like Ron and my grandpa, are fiercely independent and sharp as all get out.

Ron, it was truly an honor!

Celebration time! Thank you to Nick and Elise for working with me to buy and sell. It's always the best feeling when friends reach out! I will say, something was in the air while we navigated the market: It was one curveball after another. Thankfully, Nick and Elise proved to be level headed and light hearted through the whole darn process! Big shoutout to Charity Anderson for being amazing through the loan process. Last but not least, thank you to Jake (pup in picture) for helping me close when I got weak. He's a very sweet boy, but when there is a deal on the line, there is no one better to have in your corner 😂

Rental Alert!!

For anyone looking to rent an entire (newly refinished) home just a few minutes drive from downtown Traverse City, HERE IT IS!

Might I mention, the landlords are awesome people. I might be biased because they're my clients and friends, but trust me when I say you won't have to deal with any pesky landlord shenanigans!

This three bed, one bath home has been fixed up tip to tail - new flooring, drywall, paint, electrical. The kitchen's been renovated along with the bathroom. Besides the killer location, I think this home's main attraction is the huge deck, yard, and garden.

Pass this along to anyone looking, thank you!

Just Sold!

Vacant Land, compared to its typical price point, can sometimes be more work than an actual house! Nevertheless, my client James and I persevered and now he is the proud owner of a parcel just a few miles away from Torch Lake.

Some common pitfalls to look out for when shopping for Vacant Land:

Is there a well and septic or is it municipal? Can we put a well and septic on the land (perk test)? Where are the actual lot lines? Should we get a survey? Is there an HOA? Is it wet?

Hot off the press from my wonderful clients Daniel and Meg!

When I read this spectacular review (no, I didn't pay them to write this), I thought, "What's stopping me from reviewing my clients?" So here it is:

Daniel and Meg came to me as a referral. Based on their busy schedule we decided to grab dinner and beers at 7 Monks downtown. When I meet with folks I always bring a stack of papers to help illuminate the market, the process, and our goals - which frankly, we typically hardly dive into!

Long story short, we had an incredible dinner together and actually had time to look at the paperwork! After my initial client meetings, I always assign "homework" of must haves in a home (which rarely is done thoughtfully). Jokingly, Daniel and Meg said, "we're gonna go grab a bottle of wine and send you a spread sheet of what we want"

Low and behold, I checked my email in the morning to see the most beautiful spreadsheet of must-haves, motivations, you name it, everything was there!

Because we had a scalpel of a must-haves list, we narrowed down the 1-3 options in the market. The first house we looked at was the one they purchased! I will admit that I forced them to see two more houses, just to be totally 1000% sure, and they were!

With the help of Jordyn Ross at the helm of the mortgage ship, we sailed smoothly to closing on a house they'll love for years to come.

It goes to show that if you spend real time upfront building a very thoughtful 'must-haves' list, combined with a crystal clear goal, the homebuying process can be a breeze! Thank you so much Daniel and Meg!!
