🚗 How far would you drive for a Northern Michigan day trip?
For our family, two hours is just the beginning of an adventure!
On their way home from Marquette, the kids spent the afternoon exploring Mackinaw City. Their day included a giant Transformer 🤖, a great lunch, swimming, rock hunting, Petoskey stones, Charlevoix stones and some beautiful views of the Straits.
It reminded us of all the Mackinaw City day trips we took when our kids were younger, and why the Traverse City area makes such a great home base for exploring Northern Michigan.
You don't have to see everything. Pick a few things, enjoy the drive and see where the day takes you.

🌲 Family. Friends. Adventure.
This summer our family gathered from Michigan, Virginia, Germany, England, and Scotland for an unforgettable Northern Michigan vacation.
The wedding in Marquette brought everyone together, but the real memories came from everything that followed. Golf, kayaking, paddle boarding, beach days, Pictured Rocks, Yooper Lites, Cognition, and plenty of laughs.
