Call me ā€œold-fashioned," but Iā€™m seeing more and more agents in Northeast Alabama using AI to automate selling homes. And while I appreciate what technology can do, there's just some things AI should never replace.

Like what happens when you call a business.

An actual person should answer the phone. Not a bot asking you to "listen to the menu options, as they may have changed, so they can direct your call." šŸ˜‰

At least, that's what I think.

Which is why Iā€™m making this PSA: when you call (256) 609-2638, you wonā€™t get a bot. Youā€™ll get me. A real person, ready to pick up the phone and help.

Because in a world moving more and more towards automation and advancing technology, I believe some things should stay the same. Like talking to an actual person when you call a business.

Okay, I have a hard opinion on this: I think I found the best food and view in the Tri-State area. Itā€™s called Lookout Winery in Guild, TN. Itā€™s located right on the Tennessee River - it has such pretty views.

First things first, I know itā€™s a winery, and while their wine is fantastic, what I really want to focus on is the food, vibes, and service because thatā€™s what I believe truly sets this place apart.

My friend and I headed here for lunch for her birthday. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner (and now good friend, Chuck), and we just could not say enough good things about how he made the experience a step above the rest. He was intentional with his time with us, and went into so many details on how this place came to be. We felt so taken care of while we dined and chatted.

Lookout Winery is actually a wedding venue, and they gave us a private tour of the site. Now excuse me while I plan a vow renewal with Cole šŸ˜‰ Itā€™s seriously breathtaking! Whether youā€™re a future bride or looking for a beautiful spot for an upcoming event, you should definitely reach out to this spot. The views alone are worth the visit.

But letā€™s talk about the food quickly, because it was fantastic. We got a half-and-half pizza of the Florencia and The House Specialty. Seriously, it was all so good. Their ingredients come straight from Italy, and the flavor profiles cannot be matched. As a pizza expert myself šŸ˜‰, this place has my stamp of approval.

So, next time you want a date night with amazing food and incredible views, look no further than Lookout Winery. Tell ā€˜em Jaylynn sent yah. šŸ™‚

Yep. I said it.
And honestly, the industry needs to stop acting like thatā€™s not true. Many agents act like not using a Realtor is guaranteed to be a disaster every single time. That simply is not always the case.

You do not legally need me.
You do not have to hire an agent.
You absolutely can do it yourself.

Realtors are not a necessity.
Realtors are a service.
A strategy.
A buffer.
An experienced problem-solver when things go sideways.

But, we are not a requirement.

If you want to FSBO your house, you absolutely can.
If you want to buy direct, you have every right.
If you want to take it all on yourself...I genuinely hope it goes smoothly for you.

But also...donā€™t confuse ā€œnot requiredā€ with ā€œnot valuable.ā€

Because when things do get complicated (and they often do šŸ˜¬), thatā€™s where the right agent earns every dollar of what theyā€™re paid.

The truth is, the best agents arenā€™t afraid to say you donā€™t need them. Because we know when you choose us, itā€™s for a reason.
