A leader of one of the Tampa Bay area's primary real estate firms since 1984, Mitchell maintains an active interest in the ma

rketing of commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties, with his primary emphasis in the Tampa Bay area. Mitchell has earned the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the Commercial Real Estate Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Pasco Economic Development Council and was the PEDC Chair for 2014. Mitchell is the former Chairman of the Tampa Bay Partnership and served on its Transportation Task Force Committee. He was Chairman of the Pasco-Hernando American Heart Walk, as well as, Chairman of the West Pasco Family YMCA Capital Campaign Committee. Additionally, Mitchell is a charter officer and past President of the Rotary Club of Seven Springs, which established the Odessa Festival & Rodeo. He has served as past President of the West Pasco Board of Realtors, the Pasco County Committee of 100, and the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce. Mitchell graduated from the University of Alabama in 1979 with a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce & Business Administration/Marketing. While attending the University of Alabama on a football scholarship, he played under the legendary Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. From Coach Bryant, Mitchell gained the integrity and competitiveness that he continues to draw upon, even today. Mitchell also excelled in Judo earning 7 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals from various national championships and went on to lead the U.S. Olympic Judo Team as Captain in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, California. Mitchell also holds the distinction of becoming the first in Hillsborough County history to win the State Heavy Weight Wrestling Championship, in 1974. Mitchell enjoys sports, Civil War history and spending time with his wife, Becky and their two children, Derek and Carly.
