Reminder:
The City of Archdale, in conjunction with the Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority (PTRWA), is conducting a water quality preventative maintenance program that includes water main flushing, which began on December 7, 2025, and is scheduled to end the week of May 15, 2026.
Key Details Regarding the 2026 Maintenance:
Duration: The program runs throughout the spring, ending around mid-May 2026.
What to Expect: During this period, you may experience temporary water discoloration or lower water pressure.
Action Required: If you experience discolored water, the city advises running your cold water tap until the water runs clear.
Disinfectant Change: As part of this maintenance, the water treatment process changed from chloramines to chlorine, which may cause a different taste or odor in the water.
