I can attest, they don't make them like they used to. With all of the new technology nowadays, I stop and ask myself, do we really need to keep improving everyday things?
A great example: I have two fridges in my home, our everyday fridge and our garage fridge.
Our kitchen fridge is a couple of years old, but it has a lot of high-end features, one of them being a laser that detects the level of the ice in the ice tray. You know what just broke and cost a pretty penny to replace? That laser in the ice tray.
The fridge in the garage, on the other hand, has a physical lever that raises to a point and then stops making ice. This "older" fridge may not have a lot of newfangled technology, but I can say it gets the job done and is still very reliable.
What are some things you can honestly say they don't make like they used to?
