Below is the same story as is in Macomb County. Oakland is seeing a supply shortage causing greater price appreciation rates than previous years.

Last three years of home supply in Macomb County. Shows people are scared to sell and buyers are trying to take advantage of the low interest rate. Still worth owning a home? Maybe time to sell? If you can buy the home and still have payments lower than the rental rate then it can still be justifiable, if greater than rent then maybe hold off until more inventory is on the market so you can have a greater variety to choose from and more negotiation power.
