CLOSED! 🏡

Some closings are about real estate. Others are about life, love, family, and the beautiful journey that brings us full circle. ❤️🏡

Today was one of those closings that I know I will carry in my heart for a very, very long time.

Years ago, Joe and I had the privilege of helping this family’s parents purchase three different new construction homes. What began as a professional relationship grew into something so much more meaningful. Over the years, they became friends and truly, part of our family.

I watched their children grow up. I knew them when they were little, when they were babies, and my own daughter even had the incredible privilege of being their nanny. We have watched their family grow and have been blessed to share so many chapters of their lives.

And today, we turned the page to another very special chapter.

We had the absolute honor of helping their firstborn son, his beautiful wife, and their precious newborn baby girl purchase their very first home. 🩷🏡

Just stop and think about that for a moment…

From helping his parents find their homes years ago, to now standing beside their son as he begins home ownership and a life for his own family.

That is what makes this profession so incredibly special to me.

Closing day certainly wasn’t without its challenges. We had some unexpected difficulties with the bank, and there were moments when we wondered how we were going to get everything across the finish line. But we never gave up. With a strong team of real estate professionals, an incredible attorney right there with us, and everyone working together, we got it done. 🔑

And when those words finally came, “Congratulations, you are homeowners!”, the emotion was overwhelming.

Because this wasn’t just another closing.

It was a moment that represented years of trust, friendship, family, and memories.

I feel incredibly blessed that this family has allowed Joe and me to be part of such important milestones in their lives , not once, not twice, but across generations.

There truly are no words to adequately express what it means to help someone you have watched grow up purchase their first home for their own growing family.

Today, my heart is simply full. ♥️

Congratulations to these wonderful first-time homebuyers! May this home be filled with the sweetest sounds of your beautiful baby girl, countless family memories, laughter around the dinner table, and a lifetime of love.

Thank you for trusting us, for believing in us, and most of all, for allowing us to be part of your family’s story.

Today, I am thinking about the incredible legacy of Gail Liniger and the profound impact she had on RE/MAX and on so many of us who have had the privilege of being part of this amazing family.

Gail was so much more than Dave Liniger’s partner in life and in business. She was a driving force behind the vision, strength and heart of RE/MAX. Together, Dave and Gail changed the real estate industry forever by creating a model that gave agents the opportunity to truly build their own businesses, while surrounding them with the support and resources needed to succeed.

Since RE/MAX was founded in 1973, that entrepreneurial spirit has become something truly special. It attracted experienced, driven professionals who believed in working hard, serving their clients and always striving for excellence.

Gail’s strength was tested in an unimaginable way when she survived a near-fatal plane crash in 1983. Her determination and extraordinary recovery were a testament to the woman she was. When she returned to leadership, and later became CEO in 1991, she helped lead RE/MAX through tremendous growth and international expansion.

But when I think of Gail, I think of so much more than her accomplishments.

I think of her strength, grace, generosity and genuine connection with people. She had a way of making people feel valued and part of something bigger. Her influence reached far beyond the business of real estate. She helped create a culture and a family that continues to touch the lives of REALTORS® around the world.

Although she eventually stepped away from the day-to-day business, her presence and influence never truly left RE/MAX. Her legacy lives on in the people she inspired, the agents she supported, the leaders she mentored and the incredible organization she helped build.

I feel incredibly grateful to have been part of the RE/MAX family and to have experienced the impact of the vision that Gail and Dave created.

Thank you, Gail, for your strength, your courage, your leadership and, most importantly, your heart.

Your legacy will continue to live on in all of us who proudly wear the RE/MAX colors and carry that entrepreneurial spirit forward. ❤️💙

Thirty-five years in real estate. Judy Miko has never lost sight of why she started.

Her journey began in 1991 at her in-laws' brokerage, Miko Realty, where it quickly became clear that real estate was the perfect blend of her background in Education, Psychology, and Sociology and her deep passion for helping people. From there she joined Wright Company Realtors ®, where she has had the privilege of working alongside Jeff Wright ever since. In 1998 she partnered with Joe Figmic, and together Judy and Joe have built one of the most trusted real estate partnerships in Connecticut, one grounded in integrity, friendship, and exceptional service that spans nearly three decades.

Before real estate, Judy served as a teacher in Bridgeport and has remained deeply committed to her community ever since, serving on elected boards and volunteer committees in Monroe and Shelton including the Board of Education, Parks and Recreation, and the YMCA.

Professionally, Judy holds the Hall of Fame Award and carries some of the most respected designations in the industry including GRI, CRS, ABR, CDPE, and RELO Relocation Specialist. She serves clients across all of Connecticut in every facet of real estate, from First-Time Home Buyers and Residential Sales to Luxury, Commercial, Investment, Relocation, Land, New Construction, and Multi-Family.

But the achievement she is most proud of cannot be framed on a wall. It is the clients who have become lifelong friends. The families who come back generation after generation. The trust that has been earned and kept for 35 years.

When she is not working, Judy is with the people she loves most; her husband, family, friends, and precious granddaughter, sharing good food, live music, laughter, golf, and quiet moments near the water watching the sun go down.

Sometimes life comes full circle in the most beautiful and unexpected ways.

This wasn’t just another closing for me. It was the closing of a chapter that began many years ago.

As a young girl, I had the privilege of having an extraordinary teacher, a man who shaped lives through his kindness, integrity, and leadership. I admired and respected him immensely. Years later, he became my mother’s Vice Principal while she served as the school’s administrator. They were an incredible team, and over time our families became intertwined. I came to know his wonderful wife and watched his children grow into remarkable adults. We shared so many years together.

I also had the privilege of helping him and his wife purchase this condo years ago. When the time came for them to begin their next chapter, they called me once again.

I’ll never forget sitting with him as we signed the listing paperwork. In a quiet moment, he looked at me and said something I will treasure forever. He told me he trusted only me to sell his home. He said he believed in me, respected how I conducted my business, and knew I would get the job done.

His words humbled me beyond measure.

In that moment, I wasn’t just his Realtor. I was once again the young girl looking up to a man whose opinion meant the world to me. Only this time, he was placing his faith in me.

From that day forward, I carried his words with me every step of the way. I wanted so badly to make him proud and to honor the trust he had placed in me. This became so much more than selling a home. It became personal.

Sadly, he didn’t get to see the successful completion of the sale. His children were incredible throughout the process, and it was an honor to help their family through this transition.

As everything came to a close, my heart longed for one more hug. One more chance to tell him, “We did it.”

But somehow, deep inside, I could hear his voice saying, “I knew you would, Judy. I believed in you.”

Some people leave this world, but the lessons they taught, the confidence they instilled, and the love they shared never leave us.

Thank you for believing in me. Your trust was one of the greatest gifts of my career, and I will carry it with me always. ❤️

We are proud to share the successful closing of
160 - 162 Main Street after multiple buyer attempts. Securing financing for this mixed-use property presented unique challenges, making this achievement especially meaningful. As a long-standing fixture in Bridgeport, “Pops” will certainly be missed by many.
