Just Sold!! Ridgefield’s latest closing was a great story of dedication - after this property was previously listed with another brokerage and not getting the desired result, I was happy to introduce myself and step in. Initially we listed at the end of 2025, and we received a couple low-ball offers but not quite to the level that my client deserved. We decided to pause the listing for the holidays, take a breather, reset, and start fresh in the spring.

The hot 2026 spring market did its work almost immediately, and next thing you know, we’re sitting at the closing table for an excellent price well above the amount it was listed for last year 🔥

Exciting start to the spring season with a couple new closings! On one deal representing the buyer and negotiating them a price below listing price (even in the soaring Norwalk market! 📈), and on the other, representing the owner and getting a lease offer above listing price after dozens of inquiries in just a few days.

By all indications this should be a very busy upcoming spring in the Connecticut market - and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to assist my clients to achieve the best results possible for their real estate goals. Congratulations to all!! 🎉

Well, if we needed any more convincing that 2025 was a tough year for Realtors, this stat is all the proof you need.

2025 was a market which, for the first time in a while, was completely unclear with buyers and sellers generally not at all on the same page. Buyers expected deep discounts due to higher mortgage rates and economic uncertainty, and Sellers expected immediate sales with bidding wars/above listing price offers that they had been hearing about since the Pandemic. In most cases, neither side got their way, making it very difficult to create a “meeting of the minds” where both a buyer and seller were content in a transaction.

Here’s the good news for any Realtors who struggled in 2025 - many agents left the business, meaning far less competition in your local market in 2026. If you had a tough year in the business last year, or were considering starting a new real estate business but held off last year - let’s chat!! There are tons of resources available - and less competition - which may just make 2026 your best business year yet 📈
