Planning on buying a home this Spring? Don’t forget these tips that can set you up for the best success:

1️⃣ If you find a home that you love, don’t hesitate — place a bid. Springtime marks the beginning of the busy season for real estate, so you don’t want to risk losing your dream home to another buyer.

2️⃣ Get pre-approved. This is an important step no matter what season you’re buying in, but Spring is a highly competitive time of the year. Getting pre-approved early will help streamline the buying process.

3️⃣ Hire a real estate agent. Because it’s a busy time of the year, hiring a real estate agent — especially one that knows the area — will be the key to your success (and sanity).

4️⃣ Focus on the motto of real estate: Location, location, location! If you like the location and you like the house, despite whatever decor the homeowners chose, then don’t sleep on the home and place your bid!

5️⃣ Have all your documents in order. This will also streamline the home-buying process — it can be a long and arduous process, especially during Spring. Having everything prepared will fast-track the process.

Choosing a paint color can be such a tough choice sometimes! 🎨 Here are some tips to choose between the seemingly endless options:

1️⃣ The easiest, most straightforward way to choose a paint color is to go with the color you naturally love. Since you already love that color, it’s almost guaranteed you’ll love seeing it in your home too.

2️⃣ Turn to Pinterest for color inspiration. The ability to browse thousands of beautiful photos and easily save the images you love is a great way to start pinpointing the styles and color schemes you like.

3️⃣ Look in your closet or fabrics at a fabric store to see what colors you gravitate towards most. Use that as inspiration to create a color scheme for your house!

4️⃣ If you already have furniture and pieces of art in your home, you can use color theory to base your paint color off of what would match best to your furniture.

Deciding whether you should forgo a real estate agent and list as an ? Here are some of the facts you should be aware of before committing to being an FBSO seller:

✔️ Skipping out on commission is a myth when you’re an FSBO seller — most still end up paying about 3% to the agent who brought in the buyer.

✔️ FSBO listings, on average, don’t receive as many offers as those that use a real estate agent. In fact, sales that involve a real estate agent are at an all-time high right now.

✔️ 49% of FSBO sellers say they didn’t use an agent to save money.

✔️ FSBO sellers reported that pricing their home correctly, completing the necessary paperwork, and selling their home within an appropriate time frame were the 3 most difficult and time-consuming tasks.

Ok, so all this stuff about real estate isn’t true — buying real estate is a terrible idea.

Why learn a bunch of complicated, new vocab? And then you have to spend a lot of your money. 💸 Not to mention, you have to shop for furniture and maintain it for years on end? No thanks!
