Basically, it’s the perfect excuse to try somewhere new AND support Tucson’s local restaurant scene.

Apparently finding ridiculously good restaurants hidden inside Chevron gas stations is becoming my thing. 😂

This time I found Twisted Indian tucked inside the Chevron on Ajo Way, and warm, spicy curry was EXACTLY what this rainy Tucson day called for.

They’ve got everything from butter chicken and tikka masala to biryani, samosas, paneer and curry, but the garlic naan might have been my favorite part. They made it fresh right in front of us, and obviously we had to wash it all down with chai.

At this point, I might need to start checking every Chevron in Tucson for hidden restaurants.

A few things I’d tell you as your Realtor that you might not know to ask:

❄️ AC IS BASICALLY A FAMILY MEMBER
Age and condition matter when it’s 110° outside. Know what you’re buying before you close.

💸 SUMMER ELECTRIC BILLS
Cooling a home here isn’t cheap. Ask about summer utility costs.

☀️ SOLAR IS COMPLICATED
Owned, financed or leased? If you’re military and may PCS again soon, I’d be cautious about adding solar. I’m happy to help you look at the options with resale in mind.

🔥 THE SUN DESTROYS THINGS
Paint, turf, plastic and patio furniture take a beating. Sun exposure matters.

🏊‍♀️ POOLS ARE A LIFESTYLE CHOICE
They’re amazing here, but they come with maintenance, utilities and repairs.

🌵 DESERT LANDSCAPING ≠ NO MAINTENANCE
Weeds grow, irrigation leaks and trees still need trimming.

🦂 YOU HAVE DESERT ROOMMATES
Scorpions, snakes, coyotes, javelinas and tarantulas. Welcome to Arizona. 😂

⛈️ MONSOONS ARE REAL
Heavy rain and flash flooding happen fast. Pay attention to drainage, washes and flood zones.

🏔️ ARIZONA ISN’T ONE GIANT HOT DESERT
Mountains, forests, snow and cooler weather can be just a couple hours away.

🚗 DON’T PICK A HOUSE FROM GOOGLE MAPS
Your actual commute, report time and what you want to be near matter.

My job isn’t just opening doors. It’s telling you the stuff you don’t know you need to know yet.

10/10 weird little Phoenix double date night. 😂

We started the night with a very questionable true-crime experience and ended it at Chilte inside the Egyptian Motor Hotel on Grand Ave.

Chilte is new-wave Mexican with a creative, unexpected menu, and honestly, we all LOVED our food.

I had the Smashy Burger and, keeping with the theme of the evening, it was criminally good. Absolutely ordering that again.

And yes, we ended the night with tomato cheesecake. 🍅

Despite the face I made in the video, it was actually really good. I just wasn’t prepared for my first tomato-dessert experience. 😂

Phoenix, you keep things interesting.

Dear universe, please put this in front of the military spouses who are building a life of their own while loving someone whose career means they can’t always be there for it. 🤍

Military life has taught me that sometimes you have to stop waiting for everyone to be home to start living.

Build the life. Find your people. Chase your own goals. Make the memories.

You can love the hell out of your person AND have a full, beautiful life that doesn’t stop every time they leave.

Military spouses/SOs, find me. Let’s remind each other that we’re allowed to thrive here too. 🫶
