Tuesdays in Tucson: The Cactus Comet Rides Again! 🌵🏈

Have you spotted this colorful new mural at Arizona Stadium? Local artist and UA School of Art alumnus Danny Martin brought Tucson history and Southwest culture to life with “The Cactus Comet Rides Again.”

The mural celebrates legendary Arizona football player Art Luppino, “The Cactus Comet,” racing through a vibrant desert as a Día de los Mu***os calavera, alongside a Wildcat climbing a saguaro.

With nearly 100 murals painted—most right here in Tucson—Martin’s work is another reminder of how art, culture and local history make our city unique. ❤️
