Last night we sponsored a women’s self defense class with Andrea Johnson North Side Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with owner Sean Huff, his amazing daughter and students last night. It was powerful class and we learned a lot in two hours!

This year, we want to be your resource for all things Tucson, not just Real Estate. We look forward to working alongside the Tucson community and supporting local businesses like this one. DM us to be put you on the invite list for our next event. We can’t wait to hear from you!

We were thrilled to meet Sean and take part in this class. There are a number of different options he has available, from community classes to private lessons. It was definitely worth the investment & time.

Little bit about Sean. He is head Professor for the past 23 years. Sean earned his black belts in BJJ, Ju-Jitsu, and Judo. He won the Arizona State Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships at Brown, Purple and Blue belt. Sean has competed in MMA, and Competed in Professional Sub-Only Grappling. Sean also continues to compete in International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments including IBJJF Master Worlds in 2016, 2017, 2019, & NO-GI Worlds 2021. Members of the US Air Force recognized Sean’s fighting and teaching abilities and he now teaches combat to their Special Operations.

We're Sue, Jon, Claire, and Steph- a set of two teams (and 4 friends 😉 ) who have long been helping each other in our respective businesses.⁣

We came to realize that our business focuses aligned through the lens of providing intuitive, innovative, and all around white glove concierge service to our clients. ⁣

Once that common thread was recognized we decided to form The Associates to bring our already top-end service to the very pinnacle of Tucson Real Estate. ⁣

We are NOT a team in the traditional sense- there is no team lead, no head agent, and no "face" of our group. We are an association of equals, and friends, who work hard not just on our individual businesses but by helping each other. We had an amazing lunch today! Not only did we get to catch up and share business planning ideas, but we got a chance to plan out most of our community involvement and client appreciation events for next year!! We get it, the holidays are approaching, you're hearing lots of different information about the changing market, so you've decided to wait to list until 2023! ⁣

But here’s the thing. It takes more than the right month to get top dollar. It'll take careful planning and preparation — and that can't happen overnight. ⁣
⁣
So…if you’re thinking of selling this spring — here are 8 things you can knock out NOW that will make it all worthwhile when it comes time to list.⁣
⁣
1) Declutter, donate, and organize your closets, drawers, and attics.⁣
2) Clean out the garage/carport/storage and consider painting the walls and floor.⁣
3) Identify major repairs and make a plan to fix them one by one.⁣
4) Ensure that major appliances are in working condition. ⁣
5) Focus painting efforts - think entryway, foyer, kitchen, and bathrooms.⁣
6) Replace your house numbers and mailbox to make it easy for sellers to find your home.⁣
7) Clear out winter debris little by little.⁣

If your home still isn’t exactly how you pictured it for the upcoming holidays, there’s still time!! And we’ve got some DIY tips to help you make your home extra festive without breaking the bank!⁣

🏠Place extra ornaments on the mantle, in a hurricane vase, or around a DIY wreath. ⁣
⁣
🎄Paper, scissors, and some string are all you need to make snowflake garland. Find patterns you love with a quick online search. Simple, bold, and easy for the kids!⁣
⁣
🏠Wrap empty Amazon boxes to create a faux-wrapped present tower. Place on an entry bench, stairway, or fireplace. You can also wrap artwork or picture frames already hanging on your wall. Just add a fun bow and place back on the wall. ⁣
⁣
🎄Put those holiday photo cards to work as ornaments on your tree (use clothespins to clip to branches), or simply hang them around a doorway. ⁣
⁣
🏠When in doubt, go with lights and greenery. On the mantle, around a banister, above kitchen cabinets...the possibilities are endless and the price is oh-so-right.⁣
