Best of The City 2026 …
😳😳😳 Whaaaaat?!?! 😳😳😳
After a 15-year break from performing, to come back and be voted #1 Best Local Band/Musician by Tucson Lifestyle Magazine is something I don’t even have words for… but as usual, I am going to say waaaaay too much.
This is WILD. I am shocked. And hellooo?!?! … BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT I could ask for!! 🎁 💝
To everyone who has supported, and continues to support, me and the various adaptations of our band over the decades … through every version, every season, every stage of life … THANK YOU!!!
The love, the loyalty, and the memories we have all created together have never been lost on me … although at this age it is difficult to recall some of them! 🤣 🤣
Choosing to put our Disco/80’s band back together after 20+ years, we were just hoping to reconnect, to have fun, and to feel that youthful magic again. Nostalgia is REAL! 🪩🕺
However, we never expected this. We are honored, humbled, and beyond grateful.
✨ And we are honestly still taking this in… ✨
And to be in the company of such incredible talent makes it even more meaningful. A HUGE congratulations to Miss Olivia and The Interlopers (Chics RULE!), the amazing Sergio Mendoza, Zona Libre and The Rillito River Band. Tucson is overflowing with talent, passion, and heart.
A massive shoutout to La Rosa for being named #1 music venue in less than a year. Well done, David Slutes.
To all the musicians in this community … those recognized, and those grinding it out night after night, pouring your souls into your craft … we see you, we respect you, and we celebrate you. This city is special because of YOU.
Thank you for believing in us, for showing up, for dancing, singing, and keeping live music alive.
Also, Thank You to Union Public House, Tucson Conquistadores, as well as 191 Toole for allowing us to step back onto the stage again so that we had an avenue to reconnect with our GenX music lovers!!
❤️ We are just getting started. ❤️
