Today I had the incredible honor to go with Delilah Royce from Tucson Real Producers to present a donation check to Eagles Wings of Grace, Intl.

EWOG is a Tucson, faith-based nonprofit dedicated to helping women rebuild their lives after life-altering circumstances such as homelessness, recovery, domestic abuse and other devastibg situations. They provide interview outfits and work attire so women can secure and maintain employment. It’s not rummaging through a bin of donated clothes but rather it is a shopping experience with gently used clothes, shoes, accessories, toiletries, etc. All the things that provide confidence, dignity and hope when starting over.

What makes Eagles Wings of Grace so special is they do more than provide clothing to women. They restore confidence, encourage self-worth and remind every woman who enters their shop that they are valued. Their tagline - “Clothed in Compassion”.

I love it when new clients become friends! We had the best time looking at houses… all different styles, prices, and areas. We spent time exploring the various parts of Tucson until they found what felt right. Well, it's the day after elections 🇺🇸. Interest rates didn't plummet to 2-3% ⬇️. Housing prices didn't drop〽️ dramatically. Today is the same as yesterday. Homes are on the market and sellers want to sell.

Now we wait…

No matter who you voted for, be kind.
No matter who wins, be kind.
No matter who disagrees with you, be kind.

I don’t know a great deal about politics but what I do know is that many have forgotten that we are the greatest nation in the world. Some have argued, fought and lost friends over politics and ideas. We get to have and voice our varying points of view because of the freedoms we have that many other countries don’t. I feel like we have lost the skill to discuss, debate and listen to each other respectfully especially if someone’s thoughts are not like our own. I feel like we are quick to judge because someone believes in God, carries a gun, had an abortion… pick your debate. At the end of the day you are no better than I and I am no better than you. What we all are is American. I may not agree with you on an issue but I WILL ALWAYS be kind to you.

At the end of the day… respect others, love others, help others, show support, don’t condemn and share a smile. No matter what your political views are the one thing that binds us despite our differences is that we are American. I may not have the same views as you and that’s ok. I will respect you. I will be kind to you. I will not judge you. What would happen if that was the attitude we adopted towards every, single person.

As results roll in throughout the night, despite your anger, fear or frustration, remember to be kind. I for one am proud to be American and truly believe in One Nation Under God. I am blessed that I have the opportunity to have a voice and was able to vote today and I will never take that for granted no matter who wins.
