The Father started his article with describing his daughter as "Intelligent" which is what she is in thinking of protecting herself and her Dad in the event of an intruder. If they had a couple of break ins in 10 years in the area just means that it can happen again. When a break in happens even if its only one in fifty years, if you are the one then it doesn't matter how infrequent they have been. The Dumb one is the person who could have saved their life in the event of an intruder with a gun breaking in and died because they felt no need to have some protection in their home. A firearm in the home increases the chances of survival for you and your family. Fi****ms do not randomly start shooting by themselves and pose no danger to anyone sitting in a closet or drawer. IT is better to have one and never need it than to need one and not have it.

Lillian George, whose one-of-a-kind and distinctive cloth art dolls charm with personality, has been in love with animals since childhood. But after a career as a deputy with the Pima County Sheriff's Department and serving as a member of the Animal Cruelty Task Force, her love had a deeper focus, which is why she's participating in the Bow Wow Meow Online Community Art Auction.

She is pictured here with her girls -- Maddy and Chayanne. They're both rescues -- one was a puppy mill pup and the other a bait dog. "They are the loves in my life and it would be a sadder, bleaker world without them," she said.

A big thank you to Lillian, whose pixie doll and Dia de los Mu***os set are sure to light up someone's world! To view all of the available items, visit www.32auctions.com/PACCBowWowMeow. Bidding starts at 8 a.m. tomorrow!

Pima Animal Care Center is a special place for graphic designer David Burnham, and not just because he designed the mascots Fred & Wynona.
His two cats are both rescues: Mali, a vocal lapwarmer, came to the Burnham household from a homeless person who could not care for her and Jasper, whose heft is only matched by his heart, from Pima Animal Care Center.

“Their mission is so important, and the demand so vastly outstrips the public resources available, that anything community members can do to help out is important,” he said.

We send a big thank you to Dave, who fashioned a clever lamp out of a coffee pot to help raise resources for medical equipment and services.
