🏡 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝘂𝗰𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴?
A home can look beautiful on the surface, but there’s more to maintenance than fresh paint, updated countertops, and a great-looking interior.
When touring a Tucson home, pay attention to the major systems and areas that can be affected by our desert climate. Check the age and maintenance history of the roof and HVAC, look at the exterior, and pay attention to drainage, landscaping, and irrigation.
If the home has a pool, it’s also worth looking beyond the water and checking the condition of the equipment, plumbing, and other components.
Documentation can be helpful too. Service records, receipts, warranties, permits, and information about previous improvements can give you a better understanding of how the home has been cared for over time.
The goal isn’t to find a perfect home. It’s to understand what has been maintained, what has been updated, and what may need attention in the future.
The Gavlick Group can help you look beyond the surface and ask the right questions when evaluating homes throughout Tucson.
