Let's keep it real and not cover the fact that we're currently in a challenging real estate market.

I think we can all agree that it's not just the interest rates keeping buyers from purchasing 🏠, it's the fact that home prices would need to drop dramatically in order for the average consumer to be able to qualify/ afford a🏠.

So What's happening out there? Well,

▪️Credit card debt is at an all time high. ▪️Covid relief funds/ forbearance has come to an end. People will need to start paying their mortgages unless the government steps in again? Probably not going to happen.
▪️Inflation... Need I say more.
▪️Layoffs are occurring.
▪️Depleted saving accounts
▪️Home prices are dropping in many major cities. Just look at the statistics.

I'm a Realtor and you're probably wondering why I'm openly discussing any of this with right? Because, I don't think it's necessarily a bad time to purchase 🏠if you can do so safely and with good representation.

There are some amazing deals to be had and some sellers are assisting with closing cost, rate buydowns, you name it. Let's find a great deal!

Also- We needed the interest rates to increase so home prices could come down and we can return to a normal/ more stable market. Outbidding, overpaying, and waiving contingencies was ridiculous... Just saying. I would personally love to see rates at around 5%. The markets always fluctuating. I have no idea what will happen. Time will tell.
