For you South Grand Lakers, and you off-road folks, and everybody that will be impacted by the CLOSING OF THE DAM:
A public meeting has been scheduled for 5:30 pm on Thursday, March 5th, at the GRDA Ecosystems and Education Center in Langley to present project information and receive public input on the closure and rehabilitation project of the Pensacola Dam and the east and west spillway bridges on Highway 28 at Grand Lake.
The project is currently scheduled to be let for construction in June of 2020, and traffic will be impacted.
It is anticipated that work that will require road closures and impact travel will begin after Labor Day 2020 and end before Memorial Day 2021, with accommodations made for the St. Patricks Day run and the 2021 Big Meat Run.
Improvements in the project include bridge deck overlays, significant bridge repairs underneath the bridge deck, and new bridge approach guardrails.
The purpose of this meeting is to inform the traveling public and stakeholders of the project, its purpose and need, status, schedule, and to discuss impacts and concerns about the project.
There will be more details on the meeting posted on the ODOT website, but as of this morning, that info is not yet there...
