What’s your theme in life?? Mine is balance. I’ve always believed the key is moderation. Anything done in excess or too little(most anything) will have repercussions.

Our Instagram bio sums up this little account perfectly. We’re Realtors, we flip houses, our faith and family is our driving force, and we share a love for design, decor, and DIY. Sharing two looks of our bedroom. And, I didn’t have the heart to make her move while snapping the pic😉. I recently transitioned from a light, airy, summery look to a more cozy and moody fall/winter look. When I think back, I have always switched things up around the time the seasons change without realizing it since it’s not something I intentionally plan out. I enjoy both looks equally, but I’m loving this vibe as we enter these cooler months. What about you? Do you make seasonal changes in your bedroom??

Y’all, she’s a mini me when it comes to decorating. I love seeing how her creativity shines through and whenever she sees me up to something around the house, she wants to join in. And, I LOVE it!!! I love that this precious child has an eye for design(she rearranges her things just like me), loves to collect things, sees the beauty in small and simple things and moments, and has an imagination that would make a really great children’s movie. I never want these sweet days to end. She even gave me an idea that I’ll be trying out in stories. She said, “momma, can we put flowers on the cornstalks?” That had never crossed my mind, but I’ll give it a try. We shall see how this turns out😊

My daughters room mini makeover was so much fun. I didn’t need to change any of the decor, just used some paint to spice it up. I am especially proud of the molding. That was something that I was able to do from start to finish completely on my own. And, it was definitely rewarding. I used to be very intimidated by power tools, but after being inspired by so many women on Instagram that have showed how easy it can be, I wanted to give it a try. And, now I have the urge to try other things around here too.

Ben loves DIY projects as well, but once we get big flips going, the last thing he wants to do is more projects around here. And, we’ve always been into projects. For all 22 years of our marriage. We have been doing home projects since day 1 and I know it’s not for everyone, but it sure does make us happy to put in the sweat equity and enjoy the things we have created.

Yay for the weekend! Gotta show one more angle of the laundry room and then I’m moving on. Ha!! I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. This laundry room makeover didn’t cost that much. I only swapped out cabinet hardware, towel bar, and added the wallpaper. Everything else was painted. What used to be the eyesore of the house has now become a room that gives me peace instead of a feeling of chaos. Y’all, the power of paint is amazing. Whether you need to update before selling, are buying a home that needs cosmetic updates, or ready for a change in your current home. Just pick up a paintbrush and start somewhere. The mirror. Gah, I’m a sucker for black and gold(as you can see from my feed). It’s not in every room of the house, but I guess I can say that I have finally found a cohesiveness that was once lacking in our home. I don’t like matchy matchy, but I definitely love and appreciate the flow of a well loved home. Design for me means doing what YOU love in YOUR home. I also am a bit of a rebel when it comes to a lot of fussy rules(I am happy to offer tips, but not rules🤪). So, my hope is that my little squares help inspire or ignite something in you. Maybe you don’t like to decorate, maybe it seems daunting, or maybe you feel like your home has to fit into some type of a “design” category. You can work with what you’ve got, you can thrift, you can buy high end or budget. But, wherever you are, I hope you can sit down at the end of the day and love and appreciate your space❤️

It officially feels like fall!!! And, the pumpkins and mums are here for the season. What’s your favorite season? I love everything about fall… the weather, the changing leaves, and all of the fun traditions. I tell my friends about these pumpkins every year, but I gotta tell you about these. If you’re in the Tulsa area, I highly recommend because they dip their pumpkins in wax and they last throughout the season(usually🤞🏼) without rotting. And, their prices are 👌🏼👏🏼. Happy pumpkin shopping!!

I didn’t change the mantle very much, but swapped out the stems for fall ones and added a few pumpkins. It’s subtle, but feels like fall now. And, you guys, the temps are supposed to drop next week and I can’t wait. I’ll definitely be working on the front porch next week😉. Have a great Friday!!
