NEW BRIDGE TO BIXBY: This is a likely route for a toll bridge in the works to add a connection between Bixby, South Tulsa and Jenks. Bixby Mayor says it could be done in 5 years (that’s ~20,000 rush hours). It’s West of Yale (Yale is not under consideration as the connector, says the Bixby Mayor and Co Commissioner, and the Tulsa Councilor for the area says it absolutely won’t be there - see comments)

🏠 Mortgage Rates Drop Below 6%

The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate has dipped to 5.98%, the first time it’s fallen below 6% in more than three years.

Local realtors say the drop could spark a busy spring market, with more buyers jumping in and sellers listing homes.

IKEA COMING TO TULSA IN 2026:

Well, it’s official. IKEA is coming to Tulsa this year and will be in the Tulsa Hills shopping center.

“Today, IKEA U.S. announced that a new store will open in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2026. IKEA U.S. announced IKEA Tulsa along with the release of its 2025 Annual Summary, which shares progress the company has made in 2025 and highlights its continued commitment to accessibility, affordability, innovation, and sustainability.

Located in the Tulsa Hills Shopping Center at 7309 S. Olympia Ave. Tulsa, OK 74132, IKEA Tulsa is bringing the IKEA experience to Oklahoma. IKEA Tulsa is the first IKEA store in Oklahoma and is a part of the company’s goal of opening 10 new stores in FY26.

A few highlights of the announcement include:

-The store will cover approximately 51,000 square feet. The store will feature a central planning area with IKEA experts to assist customers in bringing spaces like kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms to life.

-Customers will have access to 3,000 items for immediate takeaway including home furnishing accessories and approximately 200 small furniture items.

-The store will also offer a variety of IKEA food favorites like meatballs, plant balls, hot dogs, veggie dogs, plant dogs, cinnamon buns and more.”
