Oklahoma homeowners could qualify for up to $10,000 to upgrade their roofs before the next round of severe weather.

The Strengthen Oklahoma Homes program opens for applications Monday, July 13, at noon. Grants help homeowners install stronger, storm-resistant roofs that may also qualify for insurance discounts.

Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis as funding allows.

Important notice from the Tulsa County Assessor’s office!

Safety Alert: There have been reports of individuals impersonating Tulsa County Assessors. Tulsa County Assessor employees are always out in the County, inspecting properties, taking pictures and measurements of residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. They will be wearing a yellow safety vest, will present visible photo I.D., and will have a white, “Tulsa County Assessor’s Office” placard on their vehicle. However, they will generally NOT come to a resident’s door. Please do not allow anyone claiming to be an Assessor’s employee into your home without first calling the Assessor’s office and verifying their legitimate presence (918) 596-5100.
