Happy 1st Birthday to Set The Stage!!
A year ago, STS was nothing more than a warehouse full of furniture, a business plan, and a whole lot of determination. What a year it's been. In our first year we:
✨Discussed furnishings for one of Tulsa's largest restaurant groups
✨Helped multiple Airbnb owners create beautiful properties
✨Donated furniture to the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center
✨Staged a commercial shoot for a Canadian production company alongside the Cherokee Nations in Sallisaw, OK
✨Were featured in the HBA Showcase Home
✨Furnished spaces inside the St. Jude Dream Home
✨Helped realtors and homeowners when they found themselves in a staging emergency and needed a rescue mission
But the accomplishment I'm most proud of isn't on that list. At the end of 2025, I felt like the lady from The Exorcist; head spinning. I was trying a little bit of everything and growing in every direction at once. On January 1st, I made a decision to simplify. I hired a part-time staging assistant and confidently told her she'd probably get about 5 hours a week. I ended 2025 with 4 stages on the ground. Today we have 17 and I don't think she's worked a 5 hour week once. 😂 That growth has allowed us to take another exciting step forward. This month we'll be welcoming our first full-time team member who will be helping with operations, warehouse management, and keeping this growing business running smoothly. We'll introduce her properly soon but we're incredibly excited for what's ahead.
To every realtor, homeowner, builder, designer, vendor, friend, family member, and supporter who has trusted us this past year: thank you. You helped turn a dream into a real business, and we're just getting started. Behind every stage, every project, and every milestone was a woman who spent most days wondering if she was doing enough, working hard enough, growing fast enough, and making the right decisions. She was second-guessing herself daily and hoping she was building something worthwhile. The fact that so many of you believed in us before we had much of a track record is something I'll never forget.
And because no birthday post would be complete with a little teaser... let's just say our warehouse is getting full, our standards are ridiculously high, and there may be a very fun warehouse sale in our near future.
Stay tuned.
