Let’s talk about attending your home inspection! In my opinion this is a critical component to the process! Attending your home inspection can accomplish MANY things.
1. It reduces any potential confusion
2. You are able to developed a beginning relationship with your inspector.
3. Nothing beats putting your eyes on the issues pointed out in the report.
4. The buyer gets to see their money at work! Many folks don’t realize what all goes into an inspection.
5. It’s a great opportunity to get your inspectors opinion on how to properly maintain a property.

First time homebuyers, be sure to vet your local inspectors before choosing. We are fortunate in Northeast Mississippi to have some very talented and thorough inspectors, but you need to ensure that they exceed State Standards. State Standards are the bare minimum standards that an inspector is held to. You need to know more than what that will tell you.

Today we had the privilege of doing a 12 month builders warranty inspection for our clients! It is SOOOOO IMPORTANT to have this done! It doesn’t matter if you are experiencing issues or not. We were able to find several issues for these clients that needed to be addressed that were not visible to the naked eye and a few issues with improper installation of some various building materials. A rough estimate of the issues found for the builder to address was around $5,000. Our clients said that it was the best $450 they have ever spent! As our clients we have YOUR best interest at heart! No one else. YOU! If you’ve bought a home within the last 12 months and want to know if there is anything that the builder might need to address….holler at us!
