Tip of the day: Earnest money is a specific form of payment/security deposit made in real estate transactions to demonstrate that YOU are serious about buying a home. EM is kept in an escrow account until the deal is closed. Upon the deal CLOSING, the EM will be credited to BUYER (you) ‼️in your own escrow account.. in which your property taxes and homeowners insurance will be paid from.

SO: Technically, you’ll will get EM back if you buy the house.. however, if you don’t… it could possibly go to SELLERS. Find out more? Stay Tuned ☺️

“I wanna to buy a house but I don’t know where to start”

•The first step to the home buying process is getting PRE-APPROVED ‼️

“How I do that?”
•You connect with a mortgage lender/loan officer and they tell you how much $ you can spend on a house.
EX: if you get pre-approved for 140,000.. then you can buy a house that’s currently for sale for $140,000.

They determine that based on your employment and job history.. hence the job and tax documents I mentioned yesterday.

If you do have one.. your realtor can recommend some. TIP: choose LOCAL ♥️

“What all I gotta have to get me a house Carlisha?”

• a job, in which you have been employed for atleast a year.. (no job hopping or unemployment gaps)
•tax returns (filed correctly) from the last TWO years.
•Good credit.. (preferably above a 640)
•Money (earnest money, inspection, & appraisal due first)

& lastly, PATIENCE!!! You have to have patience because it can get a little intense.

Buying a house can be intimidating, but with a good agent. It’s a breeze.
