🤎 Don’t you ever forget where you come from…

Where I come from is cinnamon rolls from the Sugar Shack before an early morning at Pinecrest.

Where I come from is a hot cocoa from the Sugar Shack when there’s snow on the ground, bundled up and heading farther up Highway 108.

Where I come from is sharing a burrito with a friend after a day at Lyons Dam Reservoir, still smelling a little like sunscreen and pine trees.

It’s taking the long way home down a Forest Service road just because you can.

It’s summer days at Pinecrest Lake, wandering through Herring Creek, and heading out toward Eagle Meadows when you need a reminder of just how beautiful our little corner of California really is.

Where I come from is lemonade with a new client and coffee with an old friend. It’s walking into the Sugar Shack and running into someone you know, then staying twenty minutes longer than you planned because that’s just how our little mountain community works.

Where I come from is Highway 108. And the Sugar Shack has been part of so many of the memories made along it. 🤎

If you’re headed up the mountain toward Pinecrest, Herring Creek, Eagle Meadows, Lyons Dam Reservoir, or wherever the backroads take you, this is one of this local’s favorite stops.
