A Home Inspector’s Version

Two homes diverged upon a quiet street,
One looked perfect, tidy, clean, and neat.
But looks can fool the hopeful homebuyer’s eye—

Today is National Fettuccine Alfredo Day 🍝

Our middle child (and inspector-in-training) loves fettuccine Alfredo — it’s always been his favorite pasta. Unfortunately, he’s recently gone gluten and dairy-free, which means no fettuccine for him… so we’ll gladly eat some Alfredo on his behalf today.

Whether it’s pasta or houses, we’re big believers in paying attention to what goes into things — and making sure nothing important gets overlooked. 🏠😄

🚨 467th REVIEW DROP (yes… six–seven 🤌) 🚨
And to celebrate, here’s a picture of something that should NOT exist in 2025 😭👇

This chimney… terminates in the ATTIC.
And the gas furnace vents straight into it.
Meaning: the attic was basically marinating in carbon monoxide.
Huge yikes. Massive nope. 🔥🚫

And here’s the wild part: this whole disaster happened after a new roof was installed — without proper permits or oversight.
Friendly PSA: all repairs and upgrades should ALWAYS be permitted so stuff like this doesn’t happen. 🙃

Shoutout to review #467 for reminding us why home inspections are of the utmost importance.
Because THIS is the stuff you DON'T want to discover after you move in. 👀
