As we head into Memorial Day tomorrow, I’ve found myself thinking deeply about the men and women who gave everything for this country. Not just soldiers in history books but sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, and friends who left home carrying courage most of us will never fully understand.
Tomorrow is more than a long weekend. It’s a day to pause and remember that our freedom was paid for by people who never made it back home. Because of their sacrifice, we get to live freely, raise our families, worship openly, chase dreams, and enjoy moments we often take for granted.
I especially pray tonight for the Gold Star families who carry an unimaginable kind of grief every single day. Holidays like this are not celebrations for them they are reminders of who is missing.
This day matters deeply to me because behind every American flag is a story of sacrifice. A life willingly laid down for people they may never even meet. That kind of selflessness reflects the greatest kind of love there is.
“No one has greater love than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13
Tomorrow, may we remember the fallen with grateful hearts. May we thank the Lord for their bravery, honor their sacrifice, and never forget the price that was paid for the freedoms we enjoy every day. 🇺🇸
