🌊 Welcome to Dutton-Waller Cottage

Built in 1938 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this is Old Tybee, the version meant when they talk about how the island used to be. Raised cottage under a canopy of oaks and palms, a tree swing out front, and a kitchen that once landed in Southern Living.

Four bedrooms, all queens, two down and two up. The upstairs sitting area is stocked with books and old movies, which is exactly what you want on the afternoon somebody decides it's too hot for the beach. Underneath the raised cottage, the covered ground level opens up for cookouts and long dinners, with a ping pong table, a full bathroom, and an outdoor shower for the walk back from the sand.

South End, so the Back River Pier, the restaurants, the shops, and beach access are all a short walk. Sunsets over the river are the reason our guests book this stretch of the island.
