Income Needed To Buy A Home In 2026 🏡

2 people could have

➡️ The same mortgage time period

But still get extremely different financial outcomes.

It’s not the market.
It’s not the location.

The difference comes down to how they structure the down payment.

1️⃣ Person 1 paid 3% down to minimize upfront cash
2️⃣ Person 2 paid 10% down to reduce monthly payment

If you want to keep more cash for emergencies, investing, or flexibility, 3% down might be a good option for you.

But if you want a lower monthly payment and less financial stress long-term, 10% down is likely the better option for you.
