There are moments in life where you stop and realize how much discipline, sacrifice, and determination it took to reach a goal. Watching our daughter Austin graduate from Medical School at the University of Utah was one of those moments.

Tania and I are beyond proud of her.

Becoming a doctor is not something you casually accomplish. It takes years of pressure, long nights, emotional exhaustion, and an ability to keep going when most people would quit.

Austin did it.

And now, to make the moment even bigger, she matched in OBGYN and will be completing her residency in Utah.

Somewhere along the way, the little girl we raised became “Doctor Austin,” and I cannot explain how proud that makes me to say out loud.

We are incredibly proud of the woman she has become, and even more proud of the life she is building.

Congratulations Dr. Austin. You earned every bit of this.

Tania and I are incredibly proud of our daughter, Courtney, for graduating from the University of South Carolina.

What always amazed me was that no matter when I called her, she was either in the library, walking to it, or leaving it. I started wondering if she secretly lived there and just visited her dorm occasionally.

She worked hard for this. Late nights, stress, exams, and years of discipline led to this moment.

Watching her walk across that stage was one of those moments you never forget as a parent.

She is now officially a graduate. Which also means she is officially entering the exciting world of paying her own bills.

Congratulations Courtney. We love you and could not be prouder.
