Get all your little one's letters straight to the North Pole with our "Letters for Santa Box," conveniently located in the Bad Axe Meijer grocery entrance.
A Special thank you to Meijer for helping share the magic of the season by hosting our Letters for Santa Box! The box will be checked weekly from now until Christmas with letters printed in the Huron Daily Tribune newspaper and online paper.

(Sees the weather forecast, realizes Van Halen isn't gonna cut it today. Time to crank some Rush and be ready for any closures reported on Mi Drive.)

OK, everyone. Remember your training. If it's snowing, slow down. If plows are in another area and haven't been through your route in the last few minutes, slow down some more. If visibility is bad, slow down some more and think about pulling off the road to safely wait for it to improve.

If you really don't have to be on the road, we recommend staying home and enjoying winter's arrival.

Plow crews are getting ready, the salt sheds are more than packed thanks to the mild winter so far (but keep in mind it's not a wonderdrug for snow - it doesn't work as well in below-freezing temps, so other solutions may be used, like beet juice). All we ask is that you do your part and give the plows plenty of room to do their job.

Keep following Michigan's Basic Speed Law and drive to the current conditions, which may mean driving much slower than the speed limit. If the roads are slick, your brakes and 4-wheel drive aren't going to do much, but unfortunately your momentum will.

Stay safe out there! And watch out for By-Tor and the Snow Dog.

We hope you are warm and safe during these extreme weather conditions. As the weather becomes more severe, the road conditions are deteriorating.
This will affect the ability of our contractor to plow snow, and our maintenance team to work on the sidewalks.
Some counties are asking non-essential services to stay off the roads.
We have just been notified by one of the trash haulers that their services will be delayed this week.
We are identifying all possible resources to assist with the snow in our parking lots and sidewalks, but please understand our contractors do this same service for other locations as well.
Please be mindful of the local conditions before leaving your home.
