🚔 S.O.U.T.H Always Takes on the Union City Police Department Department! 🚔

Yesterday was an unforgettable experience as our Lions had the opportunity to visit the Union City Police Department. One of the biggest highlights of the day was hearing officers speak directly to our youth about the important role they play in our community.

The officers reminded our kids that they don’t have to be afraid of law enforcement. They are here to help, protect, and serve. They shared that police officers aren’t “the bad guys”—they are people who care about keeping our neighborhoods safe and are always there when someone needs help. After all, when there’s an emergency, who do we call? The police.

Our students also learned about the many career opportunities in law enforcement and what it takes to become an officer. Seeing positive role models in uniform helps build trust, understanding, and opens young minds to future career possibilities.

Thank you to the U.C Police Department for welcoming our youth, answering their questions, and showing them the heart behind the badge. Together, we’re building stronger relationships and brighter futures—one conversation at a time. 💙🖤 Big S/O to Sgt Stringer and officer Cleveland for making this possible. 🫱🏿‍🫲🏾

A huge THANK YOU to DailyO Donuts for welcoming our Lions into your business and giving them an unforgettable experience!
Our scholars had the opportunity to learn what it takes to build and operate a successful Black-owned business, hear your entrepreneurial journey, and get creative by decorating their own donuts with all kinds of delicious toppings. The smiles, laughter, and hands-on learning made this visit one to remember!
At S.O.U.T.H Always, we believe exposure creates opportunity. By introducing our youth to local Black entrepreneurs, we’re helping them see that owning a business is possible through hard work, passion, and perseverance.
We can’t wait for next Friday as we continue our Black-Owned Business Journey, inspiring the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.

The Lions had an amazing time visiting Simply Fresh Creations, a Black-owned business in our community! Thank you for welcoming us and taking the time to speak with our kids about entrepreneurship, hard work, and the importance of supporting our own community.
Experiences like this inspire our future leaders to dream big and understand that business ownership is possible with dedication and perseverance.
We’re excited and looking forward to this Friday as we continue our journey by visiting another incredible Black-owned business in our community. Together, we’re building knowledge, confidence, and a legacy of community support. 🧡🖤

S.O.U.T.H Always Girls Day 2026 💕✨
What an unforgettable day! Our 2026 Girls Day was filled with laughter, love, confidence, and memories that will last a lifetime.
From our beautiful brunch to dressing up like young ladies and princesses, every moment reminded our girls just how special they are. More importantly, they had the opportunity to build new friendships, strengthen existing bonds, and encourage one another in a positive and uplifting environment.
Events like this are about so much more than having fun—they’re about creating a sisterhood, building confidence, and showing our young ladies that they are valued, capable, and destined for greatness.
A huge THANK YOU to our incredible S.O.U.T.H Always staff for the countless hours of planning, decorating, organizing, and pouring your hearts into making this event such a success. Your dedication and love for our girls did not go unnoticed.
