RXR has committed $185 million in equity as part of a $785 million debt and equity capitalization for 175 Third Street, a 1.1 million-square-foot mixed-use development at Brooklyn’s Gowanus Wharf.

The financing package, which includes $600 million in debt from Apollo and Affinius Capital and $185 in equity from RXR, will support the construction of a 27-story project developed by Charney Companies, Tavros, and Incoco Capital. Once completed, the development will deliver approximately 1,100 residential units, 25% of which will be affordable — along with an 85,000-square-foot Life Time fitness center, waterfront public open space, artist studios, and a range of residential amenities, further advancing the transformation of the Gowanus waterfront.

As summer comes to a close, we’re looking back at RXR’s 2026 Summer Intern Program.

This year’s internship program gave students a firsthand look at the many sides of real estate through their day-to-day responsibilities, workshops, property visits, and their capstone group project, which game them opportunities to connect with teams across RXR and company leadership, including RXR’s four partners Scott Rechler, Michael Maturo, Jason Barnett and Todd Rechler.

Along the way, interns stepped outside the office to experience firsthand the RXR projects shaping the region, including tours of Hamilton Green in White Plains, Garvies Point in Glen Cove, and a behind-the-scenes tour of JFK Airport, where RXR is helping deliver the transformation of Terminal 6 as part of the airport’s historic redevelopment.

Thank you to our 2026 interns for bringing your curiosity, energy, and fresh perspectives to RXR this summer. We’re excited to see where you go next.
