A lot of people think sales is about overcoming objections—like you have to push through resistance until the client gives in. But that’s not how it works. You don’t overcome objections. You answer them by offering an alternative that makes sense.

If a business owner says, “I don’t want to finance equipment right now because interest rates are too high,” I’m not going to hit them with some generic response about historical rates. Instead, I’ll say:
