More than 240,000 DTE Energy customers remained without power Friday morning following damaging winds, fallen trees, and downed power lines across the area.
The National Weather Service is also surveying damage on Detroit's east side after reports of a possible tornado touchdown.
DTE expects about 60% of affected customers to have power restored by the end of Friday, with restoration expected to reach 80–90% by Saturday and all customers by Sunday.
🚨 Residents are encouraged to stay alert, avoid downed power lines, and follow local emergency updates as cleanup and restoration efforts continue.
