I have heard it said that our real estate market is in a slump. Not true in LOCAL Indian River County.

June 2026 compared to June 2025 tells a different story:

Closed Sales (Single Family Homes) 271 vs 249 +8.8%

Median Sales Price $400,000 vs $392,975 +1.8%

Average Sales Price $650,777 vs $665,520 -2.2%

Months Supply of Inventory 4.4 vs 5.5 -20% (A healthy market is 6 months of inventory where neither the seller or buyer has the advantage.)

The Residential closed sales of single-family detached homes totaled 270 units for March 2026. This compares to a total of 251 units in March 2025. The median price of single-family detached homes sold by members of the REALTORS® Association of Indian River County MLS for March 2026 was $429,950. This compares to a median price of $390,000 for March 2025. The current active inventory of residential single-family detached homes totals 1,244 for March 2026. This compares to the active inventory of 1,375 for March 2025.”

Other parts of the US might be experiencing slowness, but Indian River County is doing great!
