Your debt-to-income ratio (DTI) is one of the key things lenders look at to determine what you can afford.

It’s not just about how much you make 💰
It’s about how much you owe compared to your income.

Here’s how to calculate it:
➕ Add up your monthly debt payments
(credit cards, car loans, student loans, minimum payments)
➗ Divide that by your gross monthly income
(before taxes)
✖️ Multiply by 100 = your percentage

Example:
$2,000 in monthly debt ÷ $6,000 income = 33% DTI
