Here are 5 ways to stay (or get back) on track to your homeownership goals:

1. Stay calm. A new year means a fresh start! Start from where you are instead of trying to make up for lost time.

2. Re-evaluate your savings goal and monthly budget and adjust if necessary.

3. Open a savings account & commit to making deposits that fit into your budget.

4. Continue to pay bills on time.

5. Stay disciplined with your spending. Do not max out credit cards, open new lines of credit OR close existing lines of credit.
