One of my favorite spots in Downtown Mount Dora is the pickleball courts at Donnelly Park. Whether you’re a beginner or you’ve been playing for years, everyone is welcoming and the games are always a good time. Weekends are the best—there’s always a great crowd, plenty of action, and tournaments throughout the year. If you’re anywhere near Apopka, do yourself a favor and check out Tibby’s New Orleans Kitchen. The food was SO good, the interior designer absolutely nailed the vibe, and the management made the whole experience even better.

Huge shoutout to our servers, Dyanara and Yannisa—they were both incredible and made us feel so welcome. And if you’re local, Dyanara also does hair and nails, so definitely hit her up!

10/10 experience. I highly recommend it. And that’s coming from someone who’s lived in both Texas and Louisiana, so I’m pretty picky when it comes to Southern and Cajun food. Let me know what you order when you go!

Looking for a fun family day in Orlando? Dezerland Park is definitely worth checking out.

Admission and parking are free, the place is huge, and there’s something for everyone—go-karts, arcades, bowling, mini golf, VR, laser tag, an incredible auto museum, plus food and a bar.

We had a great time and will definitely be back.
