The Triple Play Home Purchase Assistance program is out of funds. I told y'all to get the money while it was still hot! They served close to 400 families in PG County spending $6 Million in home purchase assistance. The good news is, the new Double Play Program has replaced the old program! You can still get home purchase assistance in PG County, its a smaller program so you have to jump on it but it is indeed available! Prince George's County residents interest in buying a home may qualify for up to $20,000 in help for downpayment and closing costs under a new state program.

This new $100 million mortgage initiative is designed to help stabilize county neighborhoods by promoting homeownership.

Under TriplePlay, families looking to buy a home in Prince George's County through the Maryland Mortgage Program may be eligible for up to $20,000 of downpayment and closing cost assistance. Topics Mortgages Real Estate Buyers

They also are eligible for a reduced interest rate and the state will waive the Maryland HomeCredit fee, which allows homebuyers to claim a federal income tax credit of up to $2,000 for as long as the Maryland Mortgage Program loan is outstanding.

Make all payments, on all accounts on time

Continue to save your money

Provide any requested documents in a timely fashion ( and that does mean when you get to it ) JJJ

Don’t;
Make any large deposits into any of your accounts ( large deposits are anything that is not payroll)

Apply for any new credit thereby generating new inquiries on your credit report. If this is necessary please contact me before doing so to ascertain how this will affect your financing

Overdraw your bank account

Take cash advances from any credit cards or lines of credit ect…

Transfer money between accounts because incoming deposits will have to be verified.

Dispute any accounts on your credit report
Spend your money needed for closing
