Shred Day news for members of the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce!

MEMBERS 🚨 SAVE THE DATE: Our annual Shred Day will be held on Friday, April 17. Stop by the Chamber parking lot between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to safely dispose of any important documents. The event will be over at 11 or when the truck reaches capacity.

TAG Employees spent the morning volunteering at Eastern Illinois Foodbank. In addition, our office collected 135 pounds of food and $246 in cash donations this week!

This week, from Monday, Feb. 9 until Wednesday, Feb. 11, TAG will be collecting donations for the Eastern Illinois Food Bank during our office hours (8am-5pm). Donations can be dropped off in the bin in our entryway.

The "Super Six" items that Eastern Illinois Foodbank needs the most are:
1) Canned meats
2) Canned complete meals
3) Canned beans and other vegetables
4) Canned fruit
5) Boxed meals
6) Peanut butter

Cash donations ($1 = 3 meals!), toiletries, cleaning products, and pet food are also accepted.

Please no glass jars, or homemade items.

Today is our staff's annual cookie exchange! 🎉 Everyone brought their favorite homemade or store bought cookies, and the office is filled with holiday cheer (and sugar!). It’s always a special time to connect, share some sweet treats, and kick off the festive season together. 🍪✨

TAG wants to remind everyone to stay safe during the snow plow and deice season!

Here's a few of our best practices to help keep things safe and effective:
1) We recommend installing curb markers to help snow plow operators know where the boundaries of the lots and paved areas are located.
2) To protect the integrity of the concrete paving and sidewalks, we recommend only concrete-safe, “eco-salt” be used. Examples of these products include Miracle Melt and Lightning Premium Ice Melter.
3) Keep parking lots, drives, and sidewalks clear to improve the effectiveness of snow plow services and avoid accidents.
