If you’ve recently moved into a new build, you’ve likely seen these yellow dust covers on your smoke alarms. They are great for keeping construction dust out of the sensors, but they also keep smoke out—meaning your alarms won't work while they are on.
*Remember to remove them immediately once you move in.
*Test every alarm once the covers are off.
