We just shared a look back at their 2024 HomeShowExpo home in Vista’s Shadow Creek West, and while we wait to see what they’re creating for this year’s show, they’ve got another beautiful home taking shape in Saddle Ridge just down the road from their HomeShow house.

Would an easement be a dealbreaker for you? 🤔

Before you decide, it helps to know what that easement actually is.

Not all easements are the same. Some provide access for utilities such as water, sewer, electric, gas or communications. Others may be associated with trails, parks, drainage or other public uses.

And just as importantly, where the easement is located matters.

Every easement is different, and its location, dimensions and purpose are documented on the recorded plat and other applicable development documents. An easement along the edge of a property may have a very different impact than one running through another portion of the lot.

The takeaway? Don't let the word easement make the decision for you. Find out what it is, where it is and what it allows.

Sometimes understanding the details can completely change how you look at a homesite.

How many times will they see your name?

When the 2026 HomeShowExpo opens in Saddle Ridge next month, thousands of people will come through the development to tour this year's show homes.

But those aren't the only homesites they'll see.
